This little lady has a heart of gold! Maple loves being with her people and can be found following her foster parents from room to room or cuddling up close with them (though she’s learning the concept of personal independence, and is doing well so far!) Maple is a quick study and although she sometimes acts a lot like a big puppy, it seems most things will simply fall into place with her once she’s in a home, has her people, and has a routine. She continues to improve on lead, is house trained, crate trained (though she’d prefer to share the bed with you at night), is learning basic commands, loves toys and playing, and has a whole lot of curiosity about the world around her. Currently doing well in a foster home with another adult dog, we think she’d be happiest with another confident, patient, and playful pup around to keep showing her the ropes. Even though she loves to snuggle up, Maple gets big bursts of energy and would do well with lots of daily exercise — either on jogs or playing in a large yard. She does still show a bit of skittishness and nerves, so a calm environment and people dedicated to helping her confidence grow would be best.
