A people person… er, dog

Marla ADORES humans and just wants to cuddle up next to whoever is around. Sweet and gentle with people but with a strong prey drive, Marla is not suited to live with cats and other small critters and can become anxious around other dogs. While not aggressive toward them, Marla would still prefer to be the only dog in her home while she learns proper dog socialization with the help of continued training and appropriate interactions (we suspect she’s been used for breeding in her short life and otherwise has not had positive interactions with other dogs). House and crate trained but still a bit unsure of the world, Marla would love a yard and patient humans who will give her the time and space to grow into the dog we know she can be. Marla is eager to please and responds well to treat training, loves to chew on bones and toys but will leave your belongings alone, and already knows a few simple commands. With just a little more work, Marla will make a wonderful companion and family member.
