Hailing from West Texas, Moxie is a sweet and shy girl who loves lounging on the couch or in the sun with her human close by. Building her confidence is a slow process so far but worth the wait. Treats are nice, but words of affirmation and calm redirection are Moxie’s love language. She will do best in a calm, quiet home where she can have space and receive gentle encouragement (and couch privileges) as she adjusts to city life at her own pace, perhaps with another dog buddy around. Moxie appears a bit wary of male-presenting humans, so we are currently hoping for female-presenting adopters looking for some Moxie of their own.
