“Is she made from real Girl Scouts?”
Despite her namesake, Wednesday Addams has proven to be a super sweet and playful lady. So far this Girl Scout is a smart cookie who loves learning and is doing great with house-training, walks well on lead (greeting other dogs and humans happily, though not a fan of cats) and showing off tricks for treats — “sit” being the current favorite. Wednesday is still refining some basic manners, such as not jumping and getting overly-excited when she meets new people, but loves everyone equally. Given Wednesday’s propensity toward learning and love of routine, she will be a great addition to nearly any home ready to continue her positive-reinforcement training, help her earn her merit badges, and go on adventures yet snuggle up at the end of the day.
Wednesday escaped the flooding in Beaumont, TX and is heart worm positive. She will be completing treatment with our vet even after adoption. Heart worm is not contagious to other animals and does not affect Wednesday’s ability to lead a normal, happy life — she just needs to stay calm and relatively low key until treatment is complete, which is usually 2-3 months of medication and a monthly injection. Please feel free to email us if you have questions about her heart worm diagnosis.
