In a Nutshell: Casey Jones aka CJ, aka little mister, aka goofy boy is all puppy! He looks to his person when he isn’t sure about something and is food motivated to the max (treats can just be kibble and you’ve got his attention) so he takes to training very well. Hailing originally from remote West Texas, CJ has fit in with city life like a champĀ since joining us in Portland. He is super smart (taught himself to use the doggy door because he wanted to be outside with the big dogs!!) and picking up on new cues like “sit”, “leave it” and “come”. He is guaranteed to make you laugh with his zoomies and puppy antics. He is working on his cautiousness around people but if they have treats he will definitely take them! He loves other dogs but some may not be up for PUPPY!! Despite his young guy enthusiasm, CJ is learning when resident dogs have had enough puppy time. CUDDLE!!! Want cute puppy cuddle? sleeping, cuddle, snoring when you pop back in bed after the morning potty break? CJ is your man! CJ will entertain himself with toys and chews but appreciates a variety. He’s not a huge fan of his crate but will go in with a bit of kibble tossed in – he sleeps through the night crated and when left in the day with minimal protesting/time to settle. This hilarious little guy is sure to make his forever guardians smile. Like all puppies, he’d benefit from folks who are committed to using positive reinforcement training to help him flourish and, because he’s under 1 year old, CJ will be available for adoption beginning with the Worth the Wait List prior to general adoption applications.
