By becoming a monthly member, for as little as $10 per month, you can save medically-urgent dogs like Ludwig — dogs who otherwise wouldn’t make it out of the shelter.

In January 2025, we welcomed handsome, sweet, slobbery Ludwig from our sister organization OTAT - West Texas. Ludwig had been hit by a car and suffered a spinal cord injury. Though you couldn't tell from his infectious smile, he had a long journey ahead of him. 

As with any new spinal cord injury, it was uncertain if Ludwig would live life in a wheelchair or be able to walk again. Today, Ludwig is running like a track star with only some “wheeble wobbles,” as his new family says.

Members make it possible for us to say yes to medically-complex dogs like Ludwig.
