In a Nutshell: Chastidy previously had a litter of puppies and has been through quite a lot over the past few months what with that and the transport from Texas to Portland. She is a shy, sweet gal, who can take a minute to acclimate to new situations and people. Once comfortable, she is a bouncy, enthusiastic player who loves squeaky toys and zoomies. She's gentle and polite, fun to be around, and loves getting pets. She is smart, curious, adorable, loving, and still has some sweet puppy energy. The more time she spends with us, the more we are getting to know her and seeing her sweet personality start to shine through, but she still has a ways to go in terms of warming up and getting fully comfortable.
One of her earlier foster homes had another dog in it and it became clear that Chastidy did not want to share space with other dogs (at least right at that moment, while she was still trying to decompress). She is vigilant of other dog noises when outside and can be noise-sensitive in general. She may do best in a home with no shared walls and with access to her very own fenced yard. Overall, she is a sweet, shy mama who would love an adopter who will be understanding and supportive of her shy personality and need to come around slowly. Once she is comfortable, her adopter will be rewarded with an energetic, cuddly dog who is happy to be near her people.
Chastidy’s adoption fee is $100 because she’s been adoptable longer than 30 consecutive days.
