In a Nutshell: The Dude (or His Dudeness, or Duder, or El Duderino, if you’re not into the whole brevity thing..) has overcome a tremendous amount in his short lil’ life already and we cannot wait to see this perseverant boy continue to flourish in his forever home. The Dude was found unresponsive on a rural highway in Far West Texas - a Good Samaritan got him to the nearest shelter, who got him to the nearest vet, where he started his recovery and has come so far since! Our sister organization, OTAT WTX, coordinated foster care for him and arranged for his transport here to Portland. Since joining us in the PNW, The Dude has done well in all regards - he’s fit in nicely with the dogs in his local foster home, he’s been well-behaved around the house, and he’s picking up on all the puppy basics. Like all OTAT dogs under one year of age, The Dude will be available for adoption beginning with the Worth the Wait List prior to general adoption applications - we can’t wait to see this resilient guy continue to thrive!
