In a Nutshell: Trout recently returned to OTAT foster due to increasing incompatibility with the resident dog in her adoptive home but is thriving in foster as an only animal! A bit timid at first, this perfectly sized pup has quickly acclimated to pets, belly rubs, and frequent naps on soft surfaces in her foster home. She is smart, versed in a suite of adorable tricks, and eager to show off her ability to play fetch with herself after a zoom around the yard. She’s comfortable in her crate, fully house trained, and LOVES walks and time spent outside. Trout can be slower to warm up to some male presenting humans and is sensitive to novel noises and movements, so is best suited for a quiet slower paced home. Trout would love an adoptive home with a fenced yard but has been in foster in homes without them and she’s done great going out on leash for potty purposes. Overall, Trout is a great lil dog that make a fun addition to a family that is able to highlight her as their one and only.
