In a Nutshell: Winston is a sweet, gentle pup who is gaining confidence by the day! He’s calm most of the time with bursts of puppy energy and vocalizations. We’ve known Winston to be slow to warm up to people though once he does, he seeks affection and will follow you from room to room. He is in foster with other dogs and great with them, Winston loves hanging out with his foster siblings inside and in the yard where he will entertain himself by tossing his toys or take a nap under the trees. Winston is quite the collector: snagging toys, treats and things he thinks are interesting to take outside with him – better keep your socks locked up! Winston is potty trained and has quickly picked up on using stairs, ramps, and doggy doors since arriving in his foster home but is still working on getting comfortable in the car and the crate. We’ve witnessed this shy guy blossom so far in foster and are confident he’ll continue to thrive in the care of a forever home family that will utilize positive reinforcement training to build upon the foundation that’s already begun. As a puppy under one year old, Winston will be available for adoption beginning with the Worth the Wait List prior to general adoption applications.
